KHR FanFic: Prologue

Smack. And within seconds, the boy was held into a tight head-lock begging for mercy. “Still a zero, Dame-Tsuna.” Reborn sighed and stepped away from the now cowering Tsuna. “Even after everything I taught you.” Shaking his head in disapproval, he took a hold of Leon who slowly transformed in a gun, locked, loaded and ready to shoot. “You need to study harder. With your dying will.” Knock, knock, knock. Silence. “Saved by the bell, Dame-Tsuna” Leon switched to a chameleon and was settled back onto the rim of Reborn’s fedora.

“Tsuna-nii, dinner’s ready!” the door of Tsuna’s bedroom was flung open and a small girl in her early teens stepped into the room, walking in on her elder brother in a weird and awkward position. “E-Eh..? Tsuna-nii, why are you laying on the floor like that?” Only stifled mumbles were heard by the girl’s ears, causing worry to fall over her. After cautiously taking a step closer, Tsuna whipped his head up and pounced on his sister.

“T-Taylor, you have to save me! This-” he frantically waved his arms, motioning towards the currently coffee-drinking baby, “This kid! He really is crazy!”

“Tsuna-nii, I understand that it’s not a very good decision for Reborn to drink coffee, but you can’t call him ‘crazy’ just because of that. Anyways, I think that Reborn is smart enough to make his own life decisions.” She walked past her brother, towards Reborn and picked him up, “Dinner’s ready, Reborn. Mama’s waiting at the table so let’s go.” The two left for the dining room, leaving behind a very frustrated and exhausted Tsuna collapsed on his bedroom floor muttering to himself.

“Tsu-kun, glad you could come down for dinner~” A warm smile quickly filled the boy with energy as Nana filled Tsuna’s plate with food.

“Hey Tsuna-nii~” Taylor called, “Reborn was just telling us about your math test results~ You know, if you need help with your re-take test, I’m here for you!”

“I not getting help from an elementary school kid! I’d rather someone from my class helping!” he exclaimed, shovelling his food into his mouth with mild irritation.

“So rude~ I’ll be attending your school in a few weeks anyways~” she pouted, “Is there even anyone who’s willing to teach you in your class?” sighing after the last rhetorical question she decided to go back to eating her dinner in peace, only to be disrupted by a suggestion by Reborn. “E-Eh? Tsuna-nii has friends now!?” it was an innocent question, but was said in a way that somewhat offended Tsuna, causing another groan to escape from his lips.

“Yamamoto and Gokudera? You want them to come here and study with me!?”

“Of course, Yamamoto also failed the test and needs to take the re-take. Gokudera, on the other hand, got 100% and I’m sure as your right-hand man he will be able to aid you in passing the re-take.”

“Ehh~ Tsuna-nii has friends now…” this time it was said as if confirming to herself. “That’s amazing, Tsuna-nii! I can’t wait to meet them~” she inserted the last of her food into her mouth, rinsed her plate in the kitchen, said good night to everyone and ran up the stairs to her bedroom shutting the door behind her.
